Childcare Voucher Schemes and Tax-Free Childcare

Childcare Vouchers Schemes

Some employers have included Nursery and Childcare Vouchers as part of the remuneration package offered to their employees. These vouchers can be used against childcare provision such as nursery fees. The childcare Voucher scheme is due to finish, however, if you already have joined you will be able to continue for as long as your employer runs the scheme, or as long as you stay with your employer.

The Nursery accepts childcare vouchers from a number of existing providers.

The new scheme that is set to replace is called Tax-Free Childcare.

Tax Free Childcare

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.

You cannot get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as claiming Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers. Which scheme you’re better off with depends on your situation. Use the childcare calculator to work out which type of support is best for you.

You will need to go online to see if you are be eligible for the new scheme:-
